Iterate Labs Partners with Leading U.S. Meat Processor
This month, JBS USA, a leading processor of beef and pork in the United States, announced that it has started working with Iterate Labs, a biomotion analytics company that digitizes human motion to improve workforce safety and productivity.
JBS USA has implemented new initiatives to leverage wearable technology to improve the safety of its large workforce. By deploying the Iterate Labs platform, the U.S. arm of the global food company will be able to improve team member ergonomics and support continuous improvement initiatives with both data and AI.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to work with JBS USA and to help JBS continue to feed America,” said Jason Guss, CEO and co-founder of Iterate Labs. “The safety team at JBS USA is at the forefront of bringing advanced data analytics to meat processing and the food industry.”
With more than 62,000 employees in the United States, JBS USA was one of the first companies to respond with initiatives to mitigate risk when the Covid-19 pandemic first impacted the country. Since then, the company has made consistent investments in team member health and safety, including its recent partnership with Iterate Labs.
“The Iterate Labs safety wearables and analytics platform will provide us insight into how each employee responds to ergonomic and process changes by digitizing individual worker motion,” said Chris McCune, JBS USA Fed Beef Safety Director. “Up until now, collecting and analyzing data at the operator level was very challenging, but now we have the ability to improve the health and safety of every single one of our team members.”
