Rev: Ithaca Startup Works is a business incubator and startup workspace in Ithaca, NY. We offer business mentorship, training, and startup resources for any new or growing business that plans to scale and create jobs in the region. We also serve to connect the larger startup ecosystem in the area—connecting startups to potential partners, investors, and new hires and convening everyone for networking events and workshops.
Our memberships are open to all startups and our mentorship is field-agnostic; Rev has incubated successful app startups, food and climate tech entrepreneurs, hardware companies, and more. We’ve seen several companies incubate and outgrow the Rev space, and we’re proud to have them as new neighbors in downtown Ithaca.
In 2014, Rev was created by a partnership between Cornell University, Ithaca College, and Tompkins Cortland Community College as a resource for all new and growing businesses including student-founded startups.

Members gain access to Rev’s Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIR), a pool of professionals with experience in launching and growing businesses. The EIRs maintain expertise in a variety of fields including intellectual property, marketing, scaling, funding, and more. Each member is matched with an EIR to shepherd them through their specific stages of growth and act as a connector to investors, partners, and other resources
Companies with a physical, in-person membership call our Rev incubator home and use the modern space not only for work, but to host appointments including interviews, board meetings, and investor meetings in both public and private meeting spaces. Rev also offers a cutting edge, purpose-built prototyping shop to help startups make and test their prototypes.
We offer member-only and public events throughout the year including networking nights, ongoing training series on topics like pitching, trademarking, website development, hiring, and more.
Rev’s marketing team offers marketing consultation to member companies and other services including headshot and product photography, general press release writing and distribution, and social media and newsletter amplification.
