Account Associate

Job Summary:

We’re on the lookout for a stellar Account Associate based in the Central New York State, covering the Northeast region of the United States. If you’ve got a knack for understanding the ins and outs of the dairy industry, then you might just be the perfect fit!

We’ve got some serious backing from the Canadian government, the Grow-NY Food and Ag Business competition, and top-notch agricultural institutions and organizations. But what sets us apart is our  . We need someone who can charm the socks off both new and existing clients, pursuing those sales targets with finesse while spreading the word about our amazing technology solutions.

Reporting to the Sales Lead, your responsibilities include:
  • Handling inbound calls and request for information
  • Providing exceptional customer service and solutions to our clients
  • Business development related outbound calls and in-person meetings
  • Providing timely and professional administrative assistance to sales team and management
  • Providing product demonstrations and training producers on the use and benefits of the Cattle Scan platform
  • Building and maintaining relationships with dairy producers, veterinarians, industry associations, to identify and develop new sales opportunities
  • Conducting market research and researching industry trends
  • Coordinating and attending events to network and promote Cattle Scan
  • Assisting with HubSpot system and keep our database current.
  • Travelling domestically up to 50%
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business admin, animal science, or agriculture
  • Experience in the US dairy industry
  • A solid grasp of all things dairy, whether it’s health, genetics, welfare or reproduction
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of our team
  • Tech knowledge, including MS Office, Google Suite (CRM with HubSpot is an asset)
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Position is based in Central New York State, ideally in Syracuse, Ithaca, Batavia or Rochester

Responsibilities include:
  • Smashing sales targets for the Central New York region
  • Warming up leads through visits
  • Identifying new opportunities to grow our market share
  • Demonstrating product benefits to our dairy farmers and providing them with top-notch training
  • Building and nurturing relationships within the dairy industry
  • Attending industry events and conferences
  • Identifying opportunities to increase market share and promote company brand
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through problem solving and providing issue resolution
  • Providing forecasts and reports to management
  • Gathering feedback from our customers and collecting field data for ongoing process improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business admin, animal science or agricultural business
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the dairy field or agriculture
  • Strong knowledge related to health, genetics, welfare or reproduction in the dairy industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong technical skills in MS Office, Google Suite; CRM with HubSpot preferred
  • Preferred familiarity with Dairy Comp or other herd management platforms
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Position is based in Central New York State, ideally in Syracuse, Ithaca, Batavia or Rochester
