Rev Member Exclusive: Office Hours with Clayton Besch and Momo Bi

Rev: Ithaca Startup Work’s Office Hours give members the opportunity to reserve an appointment with a guest expert to discuss strategy, seek assistance with business connections, and receive valuable feedback. Office Hours are hosted by our selected guests on a rotating basis and are typically offered each week.

EIR Office Hours with Clayton Besch and Momo Bi will be held 2:00pm-5:00pm & pre-registration is required for a 30-minute session. Registration for this event will close the day before the event, on April 9th at 9:00am. About Momo Bi:

Director, New York Ventures

Empire State Development

Momo is an early stage venture capital investor at New York Ventures, New York State’s venture capital fund. Prior to joining New York Ventures, she has worked with the Women’s Fund at Alumni Ventures Group and other VCs. She has also worked at JP Morgan and has over ten years of experience as revenue growth/Business development/sales specialist with C-level clients, VCs and founders in a wide range of industries and sizes. She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs building their businesses. She has worked with VC backed FinTech, AdTech, AgTech, SaaS, Sustainability, Life Sciences, and AI startups. Momo is a Mentor to early stage companies at WeWork Labs and SAP i.O.

Momo holds an MBA from Cornell University/Cornell Tech and a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University.

New York Ventures, Empire State Development

New York Ventures is a $100 million venture capital fund that focuses on Series A investments and considers occasional and opportunistic seed rounds throughout New York State. About Clayton Besch:

Clayton Besch is the Director of ESD’s New York Ventures which works to bolster the critical capital needs of New York State’s innovation economy by providing seed and early-stage venture funding to high growth startups as they move from concept to commercialization, through early growth and expansion.

Raised in the Capital Region, Clayton did his undergraduate at Hamilton College in Central NY followed by advanced education in Asia, earning a Masters at Nagasaki University and a PhD at Tokyo University. After working with SOFTBANK Capital’s worldwide VC network for a number of years he returned to the Capital Region and joined New York State’s VC program.
